Floral Competition: Christmas Theme - Gold Award

Well, honestly, the only way you can improve your skills and prosper is to take a healthy dose of competition to drive you to become the expert in your field. This competition is completely free style, i was given a two black plastic vase from Ikea like everyone else. Nerves set in when the competition was about to begin and because the amount of time was too short for you to plan or think. It was so intense that there were approximately 50 more participants from various floral house and designers, which doubled up my pressure. I calm down myself slowly, just focus on my design.. and by the end of it, i found myself enjoying the competition. Feeling happy that i am done within the time frame, and i put all my fate to the judges. Waited for an hour... i was extremely surprised when i heard i had been shortlisted, I didn't think I was going to win it, because things like that didn't happen to me. I'm grateful for it and feel very lucky, but I'm also grateful
because winning this competition opened the door for me to walk through and find that out. It's given me the opportunity to realise my potential in floral design.
